AAFYI’s History
Always and Forever Young Incorporated (AAFYI) is
a 501 (C) (3) Not For Profit Organization and was founded in 2010 and operates
in the State of New York as a supportive services and housing organization
offering housing and social services to an array of special needs populations,
including; homeless individuals, women with children, young adults and persons
living with disabilities. The Facilities owned and operated by AAFYI provide
quality, life enriching services to all participants. AAFYI operates several
homes within Suffolk
County as well as a 70
Bed motel style Emergency Housing Unit. AAFYI services program are dedicated to
serve participants who meet the criteria for placement as defined by AAFYI’s
policies and procedures upon intake. AAFYI provides services to all Persons of
need. The program will cater to the hard to place long term homeless persons
and families with children. The facilities will provide safe, decent housing
and social services planning to facilitate increased personal and economic
self-sufficiency and self-determination among targeted participants. It is
expected that the target population served will be compromised of men and women
with one or more special needs to include, but not limited to, substance abuse,
mental incapacitates, etc.... Successful applicants will have a full case
management team working on goals set forth by the resident. Service delivery
will be implemented within a culturally sensitive framework that minimizes the
environmental barriers to self-sufficiency. Currently AAFYI employs 2 Full Time
Employees as well as 10 Volunteers.
AAFYI has provided safe housing,
vocational training and job placement, mental health and addiction services,
and life skills coaching to help individuals, especially Veterans, leave
homelessness behind. To date, the organization has worked with more than 1000
individuals. A great need exists for housing, case management, and vocational
services in our communities.

We consist of four Core
Initiatives, which are;
Veterans
of L.I. Initiative, only
10 percent of the general population can claim Veteran status, but nearly one
third of the homeless adult population are Veterans.
MICAH Transitional Living for Homeless
Men and Women, this
program focuses on our men and women of today who suffer from substance abuse
and well as one or more mental ailments.
We can Build Re-entry program for parolees, is our
program where we work closely with NYS Parole officers and Suffolk County
Probation officers to ensure these men and woman have a fair shot at reentering
society to become self-sufficient and productive members of the community.
